Internship
We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about the LGBT community in Asia to intern with us. The internship position is supervised by Director/Co-Founders Olivia Wu.
Rainbow Intern: Edric, 2024
Edric is a Taipei-based writer and researcher focusing on LGBTQ+ politics and identity across Taiwan. He has 5+ years of experience working in NGOs across three continents. He dances, cycles, and wanders into indie music/art venues in his free time.”
Rainbow Intern: Ruby, 2022, 2021
Ruby grew up in Tainan and works in Taipei as a freelancer for various projects in the arts. After making a short film in college about the LGBT+ community in Beijing, she became an advocate for LGBT+ rights.
Become an Intern
Asia Rainbow Ride interns will gain international non-profit experience in community organizing, event planning, sports marketing and partnership development.
Position: Internship
Time Commitment: The internship requires a part-time commitment of 10 hours per week.
Internship Duration: Internships are a 10-week period (part-time) June-October
Description:
Interns will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience by working alongside the co-founders of our team on areas such as:
- Collaborating with international organizations in the US and Asia
- Collaborating with Taiwanese NGOs and beneficiaries
- Developing strategies for donations and corporate sponsorships
- Event planning for the yearly ride in October
- Planning marketing campaigns to recruit participants for the ride in October
- Co-leading monthly social rides or events
Stipend:
A stipend is not available at this time. The ASIA Rainbow Ride is currently in its building years. Stipends will be a consideration depending on the success of donation efforts made.

Asia Rainbow Ride is a cycling community in Taiwan that raises awareness and money for LGBTQ services in Asia.
Our annual event is a multi-day bicycle tour around Taiwan in October which brings together a vibrant international group of cyclists.
We welcome any talented individual who is passionate about the cause to join us.
