Our dedicated Asia Rainbow Ride volunteers brought passion and commitment to create a vibrant and inclusive experience for all participants. Their unwavering support and enthusiasm ensured that every aspect of the ride was filled with positivity and unity.

Rainbow Volunteer: Ruby, Taipei, Taiwan

Ruby grew up in Tainan and works in Taipei as a freelancer for various projects in the arts. After making a short film in college about the LGBTQ+ community in Beijing, she became an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights.

Rainbow Volunteer: Sharon Huang, Taipei, Taiwan

Sharon is a freelancer in performing arts and travels wherever the work takes her. She once joined the ride, and have since then, loved the spirit!

Rainbow Volunteer: Edric, Taipei, Taiwan

Edric is a Taipei-based writer and researcher focusing on LGBTQ+ politics and identity across Taiwan. He has 5+ years of experience working in NGOs across three continents. He dances, cycles, and wanders into indie music/art venues in his free time.”

“When I heard about the Asia Rainbow Ride’s mission, of course I had to get involved! As a queer Taiwanese-American, it’s been heartwarming to see the strides Taiwan has made in recent years for LGBTQ+ equality. We welcome any volunteers who would like to work on projects related to the ASIA Rainbow Ride.

We are particularly looking for:

  • Cyclist leaders for monthly social ride
  • Translators for English/Mandarin written translation
  • Social media marketers 
  • Designers for apparel and print materials 
  • Website engineers who can help us build tools for fundraising
  • Video production and editing for outreach videos
  • Fundraisers who can help us expand our network in corporate sponsorships and governmental programs.
